Premier League and PFA Players’ Fund
The Premier League and Professional Footballers’ Association Players’ Fund supports the Foundation’s existing delivery work, allowing us to commit more resources to supporting young people in under-served communities.
- Girls’ Football Pathway – We provide opportunities for hundreds of girls to access organised football sessions with qualified coaches. For talented young players, we also have a Football Pathway programme which encourages and develops girls through their football journey.
- Disability Football – We are one of the largest providers of disability football in England, with around 350 people signed up to our disability football membership programme. Our specialised coaches deliver both inclusive and disability-specific sessions for a wide range of needs.
- Heads Up – supporting people in Brighton and Hove with football sessions designed to support mental health and wellbeing.
The fund has enabled Premier League club charities across England and Wales to deliver projects responding to local need for the last 15 years.
Delivered with local strategic partners, the programmes are also supported by current and former professional football players and Academy players to inspire local communities to improve their wellbeing, achieve their potential and develop their personal skills and positive attitudes to succeed in life.
Since its inception, the Premier League and PFA Players’ Fund has supported projects across more than 4,100 venues to create inclusive environments and positively impact hundreds of thousands of people and communities across England and Wales.
In Season 2025/26, funded programmes use the power of football to respond to local need, including: mental health and wellbeing, physical health and wellbeing, LGBTQ+ inclusion, social isolation in older people, supporting people with dementia, and education, employability and training pathways.
