Abseiling mum takes fundraising total to £25k
Michelle Tipper has raised £2,300 for the Foundation after abseiling down the Brighton i360 last weekend.
Michelle, a long-time fundraiser for the charity, took on the abseil to mark five years since the passing of her son Connor.
Connor took part in one of our further education programmes before he passed away in 2019, and mum Michelle has raised money for the Foundation in his memory ever since.
In the following five years, she has raised more than £25,000 for the Foundation with the help of her friends and family.
“I chose to abseil down the i360 as this is an iconic Brighton landmark, and hopefully people saw us and wondered what’s going on,” Michelle said.
“I was nervous about the whole thing, but it motivated me to know how amusing Connor would find it, seeing his mum and Rona abseil down the i360.”
Michelle will be speaking about her abseil during half time at Albion’s Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest this Sunday (22 September).
