British Airways to double Albion fan donations
Albion fans will be able to make twice the impact when they donate to the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation throughout April and part of May.
The Foundation – the Albion’s official charity which supports around 35,000 people in Sussex yearly – will receive double donations from 9 April to 16 May thanks to the BA Better World Community Fund.
British Airways, which is known for its existing close relationship with the club and a supporter of the Foundation through its Gatwick-based subsidiary BA Euroflyer, has committed to match all donations from 9 April to 16 May – up to the value of £10,000.
The money raised from this campaign will support the Foundation’s community football programmes, which focus on changing lives through the power of football.
The Foundation is one of the biggest providers of disability football in the UK, and money raised from this campaign will help to support those sessions.
Lauren Ellis, Fundraising Manager at the BHAFC Foundation, said: “This campaign is a huge opportunity for us to raise a great amount of money for the charity.
“Every penny we receive helps us change lives through the power of football. We support thousands of people every year, and this campaign by British Airways will give us much-needed funds to help us do that.
