Community Champions enjoy evening at the Amex
Dozens of Albion fans who support the Foundation were invited to an evening at the Amex Stadium to learn about how their contributions make a difference to local communities in Sussex.
The fans – all part of the ‘Community Champions’ group of fans who donate monthly to the Foundation – had the chance to meet some of the people who benefit from Foundation sessions.
Foundation coaches and participants spoke to the group to explain exactly how their money is being spent, and fans had the chance to try out some of the different activities the Foundation runs.
Albion legend and Foundation stalwart Guy Butters also spoke to fans about some of the projects he’s been involved with over the years at the Foundation, including the Albion Memories dementia group and the Twinning mentorship programme in Lewes Prison.

Fans also enjoyed some delicious pies kindly donated by friends of the charity Piglets Pantry.
Mark Barkaway, Head of Marketing and Income Generation at the Foundation, said: “We were delighted that so many Community Champions accepted our invitation and came along to our showcase event at the Amex.
“It was a fantastic evening and we met a lot of lovely Community Champions.

“Hopefully they all enjoyed their evening and walked away feeling closer to the charity and knowing a bit more about the impact their support has.”
