Down’s syndrome football sessions supported by JG&JR Langridge
Players in our disability football programme are enjoying Down’s syndrome football sessions this season, thanks to generous sponsorship from JG&JR Langridge.
Dozens of players were recently invited down to a session, which was held in the all-weather dome at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.
People with a range of disabilities were invited to join the session, where players took part in some fun activities and football drills, practising their shooting, passing, and dribbling.
They then ended the day by taking part in a competitive match – and some of the coaches joined in too.
Down’s syndrome sessions are being sponsored by local building company JG&JR Langridge, who are based in Brighton.
JG&JR Langridge have long been supporters of the club and the Foundation, having previously sponsored many events and supported our disability football programme.
Lee Pollard, Director at JG&JR Langridge, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support the Down’s syndrome sessions this season, and to continue supporting the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation.
“It was great to have the opportunity to visit the training ground with my son and see all of the fantastic work in action.”
Phil Broom, who heads up disability football at the Foundation, said: “We’re really glad of JG&JR Langridge’s support. The players absolutely love these sessions, they can’t get enough of it, and the more we can do for them the better.
“We’re really grateful for their support, and I’m sure all the players are too.”
