Families meet Albion stars at disability football fun day
Albion stars Simon Adingra and Carlos Baleba came to meet families at a disability football family fun day.
Participants in our disability football programme, alongside their family members, were invited down to the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing for the event.
Young players – along with their parents, siblings, cousins, and friends – took to the pitch for a series of fun drills and small-sided games.
The day was made possible by Snickers UK, who are big supporters of both the club and the BHAFC Foundation.
Around 50 people in total from across our different disability football sessions joined us for the family fun day.
They were treated to a special visit from Albion men’s first team stars Carlos Baleba and Simon Adingra.
The two Albion players joined in with the family fun day, taking part in some drills with the families before joining in with a friendly tournament.
Chris Ruff, Managing Director of Snickers UK, said: “It was a fantastic day.
“The smiles on the faces of all in attendance makes me feel that everyone enjoyed it.
“I have to give a special shout out to Carlos and Simon who were so good with all the children and the big children (the parents!).
“I’m sure some great memories were made!”
Albion Head of Commercial, Russell Wood, said of Snickers UK in 2023: ’Chris, Zoe and Tia, from Snickers UK have been great partners of ours since 2019.
“It’s particularly pleasing to work with a partner who are so engaged in everything we do, across both the men’s and women’s team.”
