Foundation Para Talent hub praised by FA
The BHAFC Foundation’s Para Talent Hub has again been praised by the Football Association.
The talent hub has been consistently recognised for its high level of coaching, inclusivity, and development; recognition echoed again after a recent visit by an FA official, who labelled it as a “superb example of what the FA aspire to provide for players across the country.”
Liam Drake, Talent ID and Education Lead for Para Football at the FA, came to visit the Foundation’s talent hub earlier this year and was impressed with the setup.
He said: “The Para Talent Hub at the BHAFC Foundation is a model of good practice for our Para Football Talent Pathway Programme.

“The excellent facilities at the Elite Football Performance Centre, combined with excellent coaching, provide a superb development environment for the players involved.
Away from the pitch, there are obvious positive relationships built between the staff and the parents as well as the players they are working with, which makes for a friendly, supportive and welcoming hub to be a part of.
“Phil and his coaches take obvious pride in the planning and setting up of their sessions.
“In addition, the coaches understand the impairments of the players they are working with and the formats the players will go on to play in the pathway, consistently implementing coaching points and game based scenarios that allow the players to explore and understand these elements of para football.

“The Foundation Para Talent Hub is a superb example of what we at The FA aspire to provide for players across the country, developing talent with the potential to progress through to the subsequent regional and national levels of the programme; which is something that Brighton also have a good track record of doing.
“It was a pleasure to attend and observe the Talent Hub and I look forward to visiting again later in the season to monitor the progress of the players.
“Perhaps it will be a little warmer!”
