Foundation’s para talent hub named “one of the best”

The BHAFC Foundation’s para talent hub has been named as one of the best in the UK.
Dozens of players benefit from the para talent hub, which provides a platform for talented disability football players to improve their skills and push themselves to perform at a high level.
Sessions take place at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing – the same facility as the Albion men’s and women’s first teams – led by coaches trained in providing high-quality disability football sessions.
During a recent visit to a talent hub training session, a leading figure in para football was full of praise for the Foundation’s setup.
Rob Seale, Talent Development and Education Lead for Para Football, said: “Brighton have one of the best para talent hubs in the country.
“Visiting the Foundation’s para talent hub was a fantastic experience, and I was really struck by the welcoming and supportive environment created by both the staff and the venue,” he said.
Rob Seale also shared his admiration for the quality of the facilities and coaching on display.
“The Elite Football Performance Centre is a truly world-class facility, setting the perfect tone for an elite training environment,” he said, “the professionalism was further reinforced by all players being in matching kit, which really added to the high-performance feel.
“The playing standard across all age groups was excellent, and it was great to see all players fully engaged and aware of the coaching topic.
“The level of planning and preparation from the coaches was clear, with arrival activities like small-sided games immediately setting the tone for a successful session.”
Parents of players at the talent hub were also quick to share their praise.
The dad of one player, Stanley, said: “The coaching is first class and you really do get the best out of them, it’s always well worth the trip for us!”
Another dad, whose son Fletcher is part of the talent hub, said: “The Foundation is doing a fantastic job, as a family we really appreciate it all.
“It means so much to Fletcher to feel safe, included, and able to express himself with his team-mates.
“You are making a difference to so many young lives. Thank you.”
