Albion fan to run 100km around the Amex to raise money
Albion supporter Frazer Last is gearing up to run 100km around the Amex Stadium to raise money for charity.
Frazer, 26, will be embarking on his mammoth run in February to support both the BHAFC Foundation and the Charlie Waller Trust.
“I’m from the area and I’ve been a Brighton fan since day dot,” Frazer said, “The Albion means so much to me.”
“The Foundation does amazing work in the community, and they’ve been incredible supporting me with this event. I couldn’t feel more privileged to raise money for them.”
Frazer started running a couple of years ago and has already completed several challenges, but this will be the furthest he has ever run.
“I’ve only been running for about two years. I got addicted to the endorphins pretty quickly,” he said.
“I’ve never done an official marathon, so this will be the longest distance I’ve ever run by a big margin.”
Frazer is no stranger to huge undertakings – last year he walked from the south east of England to the west coast of Ireland.
“I’ve raised money for charities in the past, I think it’s really fulfilling. I like doing meaningful challenges – things that aren’t very common,” Frazer said.
“That was a really meaningful one for me. I walked from my aunt’s grave to my cousin’s grave.”
Frazer took on that challenge to raise money for mental health charities, a cause close to his heart after both his aunt and his cousin took their own lives.
As well as the Foundation, Frazer is also raising money for the Charlie Waller Trust.
“The Charlie Waller Trust is an amazing organisation,” Frazer said, “they work with younger people to support their mental health and take that forward into later life. I’m really pleased to be supporting them with this challenge.
