FOOTBALL FOR WELLBEING
Be together. Play together. Talk together.
Football For Wellbeing: Heads Up harnesses the power of football to support positive mental health.
What is it? Weekly football sessions themed around mental health, as well as group workshops on wellbeing topics and one-to-one coaching support.
We’re running two different groups – young people aged 12-18, and men aged 30-50.

YOUNG PEOPLE
Our Heads–Up programme uses the power of football to support young people’s wellbeing in targeted schools in Brighton & Hove.
Young people are referred by their school based on need, and sessions are tailored to help them:
- Improve emotional wellbeing and resilience
- Build positive relationships and teamwork skills
- Increase physical activity in a fun, inclusive environment
- Develop confidence and self-esteem through shared goals
If your school is interested in partnering with us to support students through Heads Up, we’d love to hear from you.
ADULTS
We also run Heads Up football groups for adults across Brighton & Hove. These sessions are open to anyone looking to boost their mental wellbeing through regular, friendly inclusive football for all abilities.
Whether you’re returning to the game or trying it for the first time, our adult groups offer:
- A welcoming, non-judgemental space to get active
- Opportunities to connect with others and reduce isolation
- A boost to mood, motivation, and mental health
- A chance to enjoy the game at your own pace—no pressure, just play
Adults can self-refer to join a group using the form linked below.
Take the first step towards feeling better through football.
