Free health sessions will benefit from specialist scales

People living Brighton and Hove are being encouraged to take advantage of free health sessions Albion in the Community is running in the city.
As part of an on-going project to tackle local health inequalities the charity has started a wave of activities offering people free access to exercise groups, expert nutrition advice, free football, cooking on a budget courses, and stop smoking support.
A new eight-week weight loss group got underway this week, running on Wednesday afternoons in Moulsecoomb and the weekly weigh-ins have been boosted by the generous donation of a specialist set of body composition scales by Marsden, a leading manufacturer which provides expert equipment to the NHS and medical industry.
The scales will provide a range of incredibly accurate readings and allow the charity’s health coaches to better advise people on what lifestyle changes they need to make to lose weight in a healthy way.
There is still time to sign up for the weight loss group and Albion in the Community is also offering a men’s health and fitness group in Moulsecoomb, a women’s group in Bevendean and a weekly fitness session for parents and their pre-school children.
