Kick Off The Weight group shed more than 100kg
Our latest Kick Off The Weight cohort managed to lose a fantastic total of 102.7kg collectively.
15 men from across Sussex embarked on their weight loss journey 12 weeks ago, going on to lose an average of 6.8kg each over the course of the programme.
Kick Off The Weight, funded by Adur & Worthing Council, is delivered by BHAFC Foundation coaches to help adults make real, lasting changes to their lives.
Once a week for 12 weeks, the group met up at the Amex Stadium. They listened to a wellness talk full of great nutritional advice, before getting hands-on and taking part in a physical activity session.
The course highlighted the effect that over-consuming food and alcohol can have on your weight, and gave the men high-intensity workouts to get the blood pumping and burn some calories.
The group were helped along by a familiar face – Albion legend Guy Butters was part of the team, putting the group through their paces every week.
Jean, who runs the programme, was full of praise for the group’s success.
“The Kick Off The Weight group have worked really hard to improve their health and wellbeing,” Jean said.
“They all did so well. A special congratulations goes out to Simon P, who lost an incredible 17.2kg!
“The programme is free, fun, and easy to follow. It has a common-sense approach and if followed correctly can help people to understand better ways to achieve a healthy lifestyle.”
