Thank you Joel Veltman

Thank you Joel Veltman

After six and a half years at the club, Joel Veltman has left the Albion at the end of his contract.

Joel has been a BHAFC Foundation ambassador for much of his time in Sussex, first taking on the role in 2022 and continuing to support the charity throughout his stay at the Albion.

Joel has made dozens of appearances at Foundation activities and spent a great deal of time supporting the charity, with some highlights including:

  • Driving in the Foundation minivan to deliver books to Brighton primary schools on World Book Day
  • Bringing a team along to several charity quiz nights (and looking the part)
  • Playing football with kids at a Premier League Kicks session in Moulsecoomb
  • Twice winning the PFA Community Champion award
  • Meeting players at several disability football camps in Lancing

Joe Jenkins, CEO of the BHAFC Foundation, said: “We really can’t thank Joel enough for everything he’s done for the Foundation. He’s been a terrific ambassador, a committed supporter of the charity, and of course a brilliant player for the club.

“It’s not an exaggeration to say that Joel is one of the nicest men in football, and any one of the hundreds of people who met Joel at a Foundation session will definitely agree.

“While we’re all disappointed and saddened to see him leave, we wish Joel all the very best for the future and I’m sure he’ll be successful in whatever comes next for him and his family.”

Everyone at the charity would like to thank Joel and his wife Naomi for their exceptional support, kindness, and time over the past six years. We wish you all the best for the future and hope to see you again soon.
