Albion compete in CP Super Cup at Spurs
Brighton & Hove Albion Cerebral Palsy FC celebrated a 3rd place finish at the CP Super Cup in June.
The tournament, which was hosted at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground, saw a number of teams including Spurs, Chelsea, and Bristol City compete for the trophy.
Albion performed well and finished top of the group stage, earning 1-0 and 4-0 wins over Tottenham and Chelsea respectively.
They eventually bowed out in the semi-finals against eventual winners Sutton, before beating Bristol City in a play-off to claim third place.
The team were coached by Abbie Burrows and Maureen MacAllister, and continue to develop and improve as they grow as a group.
Luke Frost, Disability Development Officer, said: “This was a great showing from the team and we’re very proud of how they performed at this tournament.
“They finished the group stage unbeaten and top of the group, which is a big achievement, and they really showed everyone the quality they have as a team.”
