Albion in the Community awarded prestigious accreditation
Albion in the Community’s further education department has been assessed and re-accredited with the matrix Standard quality assurance kite-mark. The Matrix standard is the Department for Education’s (DfE) standard for ensuring the quality of the delivery of high-quality information, advice and guidance services, which ultimately supports individuals in their choice of career, learning, work and life goals.
The matrix Standard is an outcomes-based standard. This means that an assessor looks not only at processes used to support delivery but also at the results achieved by the organisation. During the process, students, employers, stakeholders, and staff were all interviewed.
The charity was also required to provide evidence that it delivers high standards in four element areas:
- Leadership and management.
- Resources.
- Service delivery.
- Continuous quality improvement.
Albion in the Community’s further education manager Sarah McAdam spoke of the recent accreditation: “We are extremely proud to once again be re-accredited with the matrix Standard. It is a prestigious award that we are extremely proud of and is testament to the hard work and dedication that the charity delivers every day for young people and adults.
“To be amongst an elite group of organisations in the UK to be recognised with the standard is significant and receiving this prestigious accolade is a great honour.”
The charity offers a range of qualifications and training programmes, helping people improve their lives and develop the tools they need to meet their potential.
