AITC Community Matchday: Albion vs Brentford 1/4/23

AITC Community Matchday: Albion vs Brentford 1/4/23

The Men’s First Team game against Brentford on April 1 is Albion in the Community’s official community matchday fixture.

Before, during, and after the game we’ll be holding fun activities, spreading the word about AITC, and raising vital funds for the charity.

So – look out for us at the big Albion bus outside the stadium, and come ready to donate!

What’s happening? How can I get involved?

We’ll have plenty of fun activities for you to get involved with on the day:

  • An inflatable goal where fans can practice their shooting skills
  • A photo booth in the East Stand raising money for AITC

Look out for the Albion bus outside the stadium! We’ll be based in there along with some VERY special guests.

At the bus you’ll be able to:

  • Meet our special guests and Albion legends
  • Enter a special free prize draw to win a signed Albion ball
  • Hear from some of our participants about exactly how much AITC has changed their lives
  • And most importantly – donate to help support our life-changing work

Piglets Pies are also helping us to celebrate the community matchday by selling a very special AITC pie.

If you pick up a Piglets Pie, keep your eye out for a special prize in the bag – 10 pies will come with a free £50 voucher for a Piglets’ afternoon tea hamper.

Why do we have a community matchday?

We change lives all over Sussex on a daily basis by spreading the power of football.

Brady and his two brothers are able to play for free at our Mouslecoomb Kicks sessions. They love football, and playing at Kicks on a Thursday provides them with an escape and gives them something to look forward to in the week.

Their mum, Susan, has four children. She says she would have to choose between them to decide which of her children could play, if the sessions weren’t free to attend.

However, we can’t hold our free football sessions without the crucial funds that Albion fans kindly donate to us year after year. Our community matchday plays a big part in both raising those funds and raising awareness of the kind of work we really do.

You can read the full story of Brady and his family here.

How can I help support AITC?

We need regular donations to ensure we can carry on supporting people who need our help across Sussex.

We’ll be collecting donations on the matchday. Remember, the Amex Stadium is cashless so we’ll only be accepting donations through our card readers.

Every donation helps – click here to support us.

We are also running a special auction for Albion fans, giving you the chance to get your hands on exclusive Albion memorabilia and other amazing items. Click here to get your bids in – the auction ends at 5.30pm on Saturday 1 April.

On behalf of everyone who relies on AITC for help: thank you for your support.
