Fatboy Slim charity gigs raise £50k
Two Fatboy Slim charity gigs at Quarters in Brighton have raised £50,000 for the Foundation.
DJ Fatboy Slim performed at the Brighton nightclub on October 13th and 14th, with the Tuesday night show taking place in front of a sold-out audience.
Fatboy Slim has raised money for the BHAFC Foundation in a host of different ways in recent years but wanted to take to the stage for this fundraising effort.
He said: “This has been fundraising in the form that I am at my most effective. It’s funny doing things for charity, you think about jumble sales, selling merch, and what else we can do, and sometime think ‘you know what, I could just play a gig’, and this is me in my element.

“It’s a win-win for everyone and Quarters have been kind enough to let us use the venue for two nights, it’s so kind of them.”
Fatboy Slim, whose musical career stretches back more than four decades, has a long association with Brighton and a history of performing at Zap Club, a former venue on the same site as Quarters.
“This venue holds so much history for me,” he said.
“Anyone over the age of 40 knows what the Zap club was like, and I’ve got so much history here. Anyone excuse for an evening out, for a good cause, everyone’s a winner and we’ll all go home happy.”

The DJ, a longtime supporter of Brighton & Hove Albion, is an ambassador for the BHAFC Foundation and has taken an active role in supporting the charity in recent years.
“My connection with the Foundation comes from my connection with the club,” he said, “I was a shirt sponsor for nine years, I own a tiny bit of the club, and as a resident of Brighton I like to do things to support the local community.”
Alongside performing in the two charity gigs at Quarters, he also played at the BHAFC Foundation’s 35th anniversary event in 2025 as well as hosting music rounds at charity quiz nights, visiting players at disability football activities, collaborating on charity merchandise, and meeting fans during the Foundation’s fundraising takeover games at the Amex Stadium.
Mark Barkaway, Head of Marketing and Income Generation at the Foundation, praised Fatboy’s support: “Norman has been an incredible supporter of the Foundation for many, many years, and we’re truly grateful for the passion Norman has for the work that we do.”

“Events like these are incredibly important for the charity,” Mark Barkaway said.
“We have to raise a lot of money every year to keep our work going and deliver our activities, so donations and ticket sales from this event will make a huge difference.
“We’re very grateful to everyone who came to these performances, to Quarters who kindly made the venue available to us, and to Pinnacle for donating merchandise we could sell to fans.”
