Get involved in girls’ football

Lace up your boots and join with thousands of girls who play regular football at one of our sessions throughout Sussex. There are lots of ways for girls to join in, no matter their ability level – whether you want try football for the first time or want to become the next Albion star.

Brighton & Hove Albion Soccer Schools

Brighton & Hove Albion Soccer Schools are a great place for girls aged 5-16 to try football for the first time – learn new skills, make friends, and have fun in a safe and structured environment.

We run mixed and girls-only sessions all over Sussex during school holidays, as well as weekly girls-only sessions in Brighton.

Premier League Kicks

Our Premier League Kicks programme brings free community football sessions to young people aged 8-18 living in higher-need areas.

We run dozens of weekly sessions across Sussex including several girls-only groups. PL Kicks is a chance to enjoy football on a weekday afternoon/evening in a safe and supervised environment, alongside:

  • Young people’s leadership programme.
  • Social action projects.
  • Mentoring support.
  • Lifestyle guidance to help young people make positive life choices.

Girls’ talent pathway

We support girls aged 5-13 in their development as young players, providing high-quality coaching helping talented players to reach their full potential. Our talent pathway sits directly below the club’s academy system, providing a direct pathway to the club academy for our most gifted players.

Any girls who show promise at BHAFC Soccer Schools or our after-school clubs may be invited into our talent pathway.

UEFA Women’s EUROs legacy

We are working with local partners to deliver a legacy programme that will encourage more women and girls to participate in the sport in 2022 and beyond.

The legacy programme is aiming to give more girls equal access to football in schools, attract more women to play recreational football and double the number of female FA-qualified coaches by 2024.

We’re offering new walking football and football-themed fitness workout sessions in Brighton and Hove. If you’re interested in getting involved, contact us by clicking below.
