Albion stars meet girls at Lancing football camp
Two stars from the Albion Women’s First Team (WFT) treated young players in our Girls Advanced Centre to a surprise visit.
Around 50 girls were taking part in a half-term camp at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing when they were joined by Albion stars Brianna Visalli and Zoe Morse.
The group were excited to meet the Albion stars and had plenty of burning questions to ask them about life as a WSL footballer.
Brianna and Zoe, both of whom grew up in the United States, told the girls about their pathways in the game and how they ended up in the WSL.
They also spoke about the opportunities for girls to enrol in football scholarships at a US college as a route into the professional game.
The pair gave their best advice for any budding footballers hoping to forge a career in the game: take control of everything you can in the unpredictable world of football, and always have fun while you’re doing it.
They then posed for photos and signed some items for the kids before the session ended.
Nathan Casselton, AITC’s women and girls development officer, said: “It was really good of the players to come down and visit the soccer school girls today.
“I know a lot of these girls are aspiring young footballers, and a visit from these big stars playing in the WSL will have been so inspirational for them.
“Hopefully it’s shown them that if they keep working hard, anything is possible. It’s definitely a day they won’t be forgetting in a hurry.”
