Albion in the Community raise more than £5,500 at the Big Ten Quiz
Brighton & Hove Albion’s official charity hosted an unforgettable quiz night at the Amex Stadium on Thursday evening.
For the first time in nearly two years, Albion in the Community (AITC) opened the doors of the Amex Stadium for their first in-person fundraising event since the emergence of the pandemic.
Over 150 guests took part in the Big Ten Quiz which was hosted in the Mayo Wynne Baxter Lounge at the south-coast stadium.
This year’s quiz was proudly backed by American Express and celebrated the club’s ten-year anniversary at the Amex, with the quiz taking on a ten-year theme.
The quiz was hosted by Rich Reynolds and included a pie-and-mash dinner and a range of general knowledge trivia. In teams of up to six, participants went head-to-head to see who would be crowned champions of the Big Ten Quiz, with prizes being awarded to those finishing first, second and third.
Additionally, AITC hosted a raffle with prizes generously donated by Brighton & Hove Albion and several other local businesses.
Alongside the Albion announcer, Seagull favourites such as Alan Mullery and Guy Butters were also in attendance at the fundraising event. In what was a successful and memorable evening, AITC managed to raise more than £5,500.
Mark Barkaway, who oversees fundraising for the charity, shared his delight on such a fruitful night.
“It was fantastic to be back in person and hosting a special evening to raise funds for the vital work that AITC does in the local community. We’re so grateful for everyone who attended and look forward to welcoming everyone back at our next event.”
