Albion Memories launches for fans with dementia

Albion Memories launches for fans with dementia

The project brings people with dementia together, once a month, to reminisce, chat and be active.

We are launching a new programme alongside the club, which aims to support people across Sussex who have mild to moderate forms of dementia.

We will be inviting people to come down to the Amex Stadium to relive and share memories about classic Albion moments and matches.

The monthly sessions will include visits to the Club Museum, tours of the stadium, and visits to the sensory inclusion room.

Rosie Sadler, Health Manager at AITC, is excited for people to join the programme.

“This is a really great programme and we hope to see as many people as possible joining the group,” she told us.

“Football is a fantastic way of bringing people together to reminisce, which can be so important for people with dementia.”

Albion Memories sessions will be on the last Friday of every month.

The first session is on Friday 28 July 10.30am-12pm in the Club Museum. Booking is required.

For further information or to register a friend or relative onto the programme, please contact the health team on health@bhafcfoundation.org.uk or 01273 668 591.
