Frazer Last raises thousands from 100k Amex run

Albion fan Frazer Last has raised thousands of pounds for the Foundation after completing a mammoth 100km run around the Amex Stadium last week.

Frazer, a season ticket holder at the Amex, set off at 4 in the morning on Saturday and ran around 140 laps of the stadium.

He was joined by famous endurance runner Russ Cook (the Hardest Geezer) along the way, and finished his gargantuan effort after more than 13 hours of running.

Frazer ran to raise money for both the Foundation and mental health charity the Charlie Waller Trust, and at time of writing he had raised nearly £5,000.

Before his run Frazer was given the best possible preparation, with the club’s medical and performance staff giving him advice and warm-up preparation at the club’s Lancing training ground a few days earlier.

After finishing his run, Frazer said: “That was hard, really hard. I honestly believe my cousin Aaron and my Aunty Mel got me through that.

“As well as the support, love and kindness from everyone who was with me in some way. Everyone who donated, showed up, messaged me some form of support, you were all in this with me, a huge team effort.

“Mental health matters, you matter, if you need help please seek it, there’s so many amazing people who can help you, look out for the people close to you and loved ones and keep smiling.”

Lucy Cotter, Fundraising Manager at the Foundation, said: “It was such an amazing effort by Frazer and we’re so proud of him for making it happen.

“The Foundation will receive thousands of pounds thanks to Frazer, money which will be used to bring football to so many people across Sussex.”
