Half marathon runners raise £5k

Almost two dozen Albion fans represented the BHAFC Foundation during last week’s Brighton Half Marathon.

The team ran the course sporting Foundation blue, and collectively they raised nearly £5,000 for the charity.

There were a record number of runners in this year’s half marathon, with more than 10,000 people taking part last Sunday.

Many runners are still collecting more funds, but the total raised will be in excess of £5,000 to support our community work all over Sussex.

Lucy Cotter, Fundraising Manager at the Foundation, was delighted with the team’s fundraising efforts.

“Thank you to everyone who was on Team Foundation at the Brighton Half this year, everyone did a fantastic job and we’ve raised a really significant sum already.

“They not only represented the Foundation but also raised a huge sum of money for us, and I can’t thank them all enough. Onwards to the 10K and marathon in April!”

If you would like to represent the BHAFC Foundation in a running event, you can still sign up to this year’s Brighton & Hove 10K, or email fundraising@bhafcfoundation.org.uk to express your interest in next year’s marathon or half marathon.
