Foundation win all-Albion Disability Cup final
Two BHAFC Foundation sides competed in an all-Albion Matt Major Disability Cup final in Lancing.
Cameron Huet-Nimmo struck the winning penalty as Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation Blues became the latest winners of the Sussex Matt Major Disability Cup, in front of a crowd of 106 at the GoCardless Stadium.
The match ended 1-1 after 50 minutes, paving the way for penalties. After fourteen spot-kicks, Huet-Nimmo converted the winning penalty before the Reds missed with their final effort.
This was the first time a Foundation side had won the Matt Major Disability Cup – the showpiece event of disability football in Sussex – since its inauguration in 2024.

James Vidal had put the Reds 1-0 up early on, before Fin Burrowes slammed in a rebound to equalise for the Blues.
Phil Broom, Disability Football Manager at the Foundation, was proud of how both teams performed in the final.
“Everyone enjoyed a really entertaining final between two great sides, and we’re all very proud of how the players and coaches have represented the Foundation.
“This final has been a great advert for our disability football programme, and we can all be pleased that a Foundation side has won some silverware.”
